Liquid silicone rubber (LSR) has countless uses around the world. Silicone rubber is safe to use in electrical, chemical and extreme conditions. Gaskets, valves and parts can all be made using liquid silicone rubber.
One silicone rubber mold can typically produce up to 15 parts, depending on the design complexity of the part and the material being cast. There are several materials available for vacuum casting that mimic the qualities of real engineering plastics.A 3D printed or CNC master model is created, then silicone rubber is poured around the master model to create a rubber mold. The rubber mold is then used to replicate the master model in a plastic resin that simulates injection molded plastic. Each mold is good for 15 to 20 parts. Each part can be cast in color and texture.
Every product starts with a design. Send your CAD file directly to us, or provide your master part model from which the mold will be created. Once your specifications are complete, the design is sent for production.
The mold is made using liquid silicone. The silicone material is injected into a casting box containing the master model. The main idea is to let the casting material surround the master model and create an impression.
After the curing process is complete, the mold is cut open and the master mold is removed. What remains is a cavity with the shape of the master mold.
Make replicas of the original. It allows the use of two or more resins to create prototypes, while the silicon mold can make 15 or more replicas of the master model.
Suitable for small batches and small lot production of identical silicone castings. Parts made from silicone rubber are identical, resilient, lightweight and reliable.
