What is Die Casting?

Die casting is a process of shaping unformed metal into a specific shape, called a casting.Die casting supports a wide range of non-ferrous metals, expanding its uses and the number of industries it supports. Almost any metal can be used in the die casting process. Whether it is a simple or complex design. Metal parts are resistant to heat, pressure and corrosion and can be used in many applications, including:

Various fields such as automobile, aerospace and electronics

Benefits of die casting:

  • High accuracy
  • Excellent surface finish
  • Cost-effective
  • High strength
  • Operability

Die casting process:

Die casting is an excellent and cost-effective manufacturing solution. Fundamentally, regardless of the metal used or the complexity of the design, the die casting process can be simplified to the following steps:

  1. Create drawings: You can provide us with a 3D CAD design, or we can create one using your drawings and our engineering staff.
  2. Mold Making: The CAD design will be used to create a metal mold, which is called a die. Dies are used to produce metal castings repeatedly. A single mold can be used to produce thousands of identical units. Using our own on-site CNC shop helps reduce production costs and lead times.
  3. The metal or alloy of your choice is heated and then poured into the mold. The metal cools and becomes solid - a complete casting.
  4. The castings undergo any selected finishing treatments and are then packed and shipped at our own shipping facility.

The die casting process is fast and can quickly produce thousands of strong, durable and identical castings. For low to medium batches of metal parts, die casting may be your manufacturing solution.

This process is rapid and can produce thousands of identical metal castings quickly and with extreme precision. Parts made from non-ferrous metals such as zinc, aluminum, magnesium, copper, etc. are extremely strong; they can withstand extreme conditions and environments. If you need to manufacture metal parts in small batches, die casting may be the perfect solution for you.
